Why Shea Butter?

Why Not! A few years ago, our soap base used palm oil. After learning the inhumane way orangutans and other precious animals were either displaced or sacrificed, all in the name of palm oil, my heart sank. This cruel method did not align with our core values. So we chose to make away with palm oil. Many companies use ethically sourced palm oil - regardless, this is something we could not stand for.

After discovering this, I put on my lab coat and safety glasses and reformulated our base recipe using a more luxurious butter. I tested and tested until I hit GOLD. Only that the gold was in the form of SHEA BUTTER. 

 Shea Butter is known for its many properties like:

• Reducing Skin Inflammation
• Moisturizing dry skin
• Shea Butter is considered one of the best anti-aging agents for the skin.
• Reduces stretch marks
• Helps with dermatitis, psoriasis, and eczema, causing the skin to become dry, flaky, patchy, scaly, and/or itchy.

 We craft our soap the cold process way, with lots of raw and unrefined Shea Butter. This process keeps all the fantastic benefits of the shea butter intact and ready for your skin to absorb. 

We slowly melt in small pots - 25 lbs. at a time. If only you where here to smell its sweetness.
